First Post of 2013

I've fallen behind in posting sketches over the last couple of months. My excuses:
  1. My computer desk broke and it is now awkward to reach the scanner
  2. I've been busy
  3. I've been ill (nothing serious, just a nasty cold and over-active arthritis)
Over the next few days I'll attempt to catch up on scanning the sketches. I am still sketching nearly everyday, but not necessarily in my sketchbook. I've been keeping my skills up by playing DrawSomething on my iPhone. This is a fun and addicting game!

For your enjoyment, here are my DrawSomething images (or at least the ones I remembered to do a screen-shot).

These images are drawn on a 2-inch by 2-inch area on the iPhone screen.

642 Things to Draw #52 - A Water Tower

642 Things to Draw 52 - A Water Tower - Pen and Ink rendered by Ana Tirolese ©2012
A Water Tower
Pen and Ink
Quite frankly, I have not seen an actual water tower in years. I am sure they exist, I just have not been anywhere, recently, where there are any.

A water tower is an elevated structure supporting a water tank constructed at a height sufficient to pressurize a water supply system for the distribution of potable water. ~ Wikipedia

Water towers vary in shape and size. There is a good article about them in Wikipedia.

I used to enjoy making paper airplanes, although, to be honest, mine never flew well. This one was made by my sweet Anthony and it flew across the room right to me. I had asked him to make one and he did.

642 Things to Draw #50 - Draw a Synthesizer

My brother playing keyboards Coloured pencil and ink by Ana Tirolese
My brother, Joe, playing keyboards

I found that synthesizers looked boring so I drew this image of my brother playing keyboards. This is from an image he put up on Facebook of himself. He was playing a gig.
